Statement |
|
I would like two or three sittings, preferably in the sitter's home or wherever they feel relaxed. I make some drawings and take photos and try to get to know a little of the person or animal being painted. I usually show the client at various stages to make sure they are happy with the progress. Most people are initially terrified of having their portrait done so I try to give them what they want but there has to be some of me in it too. In today's hectic world most people don't have time to spend on long sittings. Time depends on medium, size and complication of design. I usually work quite fast. I am happy to frame the finished portrait for the client if desired although framing costs will be an extra charge. |
