Artist's Statement   Likeness, freshness and spontaneity are the qualities i aim for in my portraits. I like the paintings to be about people as well as like them, so surroundings familiar to the sitter are an advantage ie at home ,in the local pub or at work.

Statement      I paint mostly from life, where possible i like to complete the work in one sitting or series of sittings on consecutive days. Thumb nail sketches are sufficient for my purposes but preliminary drawings can be produced if required by the client.
