Portfolio for Nichola Hope - Commissionaportrait

Nichola Hope is a practising painter of Welsh and Irish descent based in Cardiff. Nichola works primarily in the mediums of painting, drawing and printmaking. Her works are rooted in an interest in the human figure and portrait. The artist has undertaken studies at the anatomy rooms of the School of BioSciences, Cardiff University. She has also worked from a production of Meic Povey's play 'Yn debyg Ian I Ti A Fi' with the cooperation of Theatr Genedlaethol Cymru. In 2005/06 the artist is making drawing studies from stage and dress rehearsals of The Welsh National Opera which has included The Merry Widow with Lesley Garret, The Barber of Sevill with Bryn Terfyl and Tosca with Dennis O'Neill.
