Artist's Statement   Laurence is committed to creating excellent portraits, developed with care and sensitivity. His relaxed manner makes both commissioning and sitting for a portrait an easy and reassuring experience. He makes every effort to portray people in a naturalistic way, at ease with themselves. Laurence is keen to include anything in a portrait that will help to describe the interests, loves and personality of the sitter.

Statement      Laurence aims to make commissioning a portrait a stress free and relaxing experience. He likes to meet the sitter a couple of times before beginning the painting, either in his studio in Bristol, the sitters home or other convenient location, to ensure that the client has an opportunity to discuss all elements of the portrait, including background, lighting and pose. Clients can then select from a series of options provided by Laurence including photographs and drawings. The final portrait will be completed in Laurence’s studio
