Elizabeth Parsons was born in Gloucestershire and in 1980 she studied with Nerina Simi (1880 - 1986) for six years at her studio in Via Tripoli, Florence. Elizabeth now lives in teh west country with her family. She keeps horses, hunts and events and also breeds whippets.

|
I like to get to know the sitter while painting to bring out the character, so the sitter does not have to sit completely still. Paint the effects of light giving the sence of reality without the feeling of af a photographic image.

| Statement |
|
On the first visit we will discuss the pose and the setting for the portrait. I need about 4 sittings of about two hours, with children I can also work from photos inconjunction with sittings depending on the situation. The portrait will be finished within a month. Posthumous portraits can be painted from photos. |
