PORTRAIT artist Lorna Wadsworth who has won commissions from leading politicians including two prime ministers and other cabinet ministers has been shortlisted for a prestigious award.
The 27-year-old from in Bethnal Green in London's East End is one of the artists in line for the £22,500 Lynn Painter-Stainer Prize.
Her portrait of Lady Thatcher will be on display at the Painters' Hall in the City from November 21 to December 1 alongside work by other shortlisted artists.
Lorna has already been nominated for the BP Portrait award for her painting of former Home Secretary David Blunkett. Her works also include images of Tony Blair and ex-Tory leader Michael Howard.
